Waller's Freedom Kennels Catahoula Bulldogs
Questionnaire

Please copy and paste this questionnaire in its entirety in an email to us along with your answers. Also, include your name and telephone number with a convenient time for us to contact you or feel free to phone us between 9am - 9 pm (EST).

Our policy at Waller’s Freedom Kennels is to screen all requests for a Catahoula Bulldog prior to an agreement for sale of these unique puppies/dogs. Unfortunately, some of these puppies/dogs end up in the wrong or inexperienced hands. It is our personal goal to properly match individuals with the right puppy/dog for their household. All of our puppies/dogs are sold with a written contract outlining our ownership stipulations and health guarantee. The contract must be signed prior to final sale and release of puppy/dog.

Please answer the questions listed below completely and honestly. Do not be intimidated by the questions; they are intended to inform you of what really goes into ownership of these wonderful puppies/dogs. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email as we are always happy to assist you in your decision to own a Catahoula Bulldog.

1. How did you hear about Waller’s Freedom Kennels Catahoula Bulldogs?

2. Why do you want a Catahoula Bulldog?

3. Have you ever owned a dog before? If so, what breed(s) and how long? If you no longer have the dog(s) please explain why.

4. What experience, if any, have you had with large breed dogs?

5. Do you have small children? Are you aware that domestic dogs of any breed should not be allowed around small children unless proper adult supervision is provided? Dogs love kids. They love them so much that, in their excitement, they will jump up on them and, without intending to, can injure them severely. If you have children, it is our recommendation that you provide constant supervision while your child/children and puppy/dog interact with one another. When it is not possible for you to supervise, then the puppy/dog is to be humanely contained away from the child/children.

6. What kind of safe and humane containment can you provide for a puppy/dog? When allowed to freely roam, your puppy/dog may chase, attack, and possibly kill other dogs, cats, and livestock. Remember, what your puppy/dog damages is your responsibility. Also, keep in mind that some dogs can jump 8 or more feet from a complete standstill as well as being excellent climbers and diggers.

7. What research have you done concerning ownership of a Catahoula Bulldog?

8. Please describe your current living arrangements (nearness of other homes, what other animals are around, average climatic conditions, etc.).

9. When you purchase a Catahoula Bulldog, you must be prepared to keep the puppy/dog for its lifetime (10-14 years) and provide a loving, healthy environment. This applies even if you have to re-locate; your puppy/dog goes with you! Are you prepared to make that type of commitment?

10. Is the entire family agreeable on the decision to add a Catahoula Bulldog to the family?

11. Are you wanting this puppy/dog to be a working dog? If so, what job would you want your puppy/dog to perform and why?

12. Are you looking for a house pet? Are you aware that a puppy goes through many different phases throughout its puppyhood and if left unattended will happily damage your carpet, furniture, curtains, etc., and that physical reprimands could result in your puppy/dog losing its bond with you?

13. Do you have a full time career with long hours away from home? Will there be someone else to take care of your puppy/dog in your absence? Puppies/Dogs deserve, at the minimum, one solid hour of quality time/exercise with their owner every day.

14. Please provide the name and telephone number of your Veterinarian?
